“The Harlequins (C Version)” is a tapestry, oil and acrylic on canvas that illustrates a theme already touched by the artist in two previous versions. In this version the Harlequins are depicted agile and dancing whilst playing the mandolin. As in “The Harlequins (Version A)” even here both protagonists are playing with each other’s heads. One on the left raises the one on the right who is hung upside down, holding him by his foot. Then, on the bottom left hand side a radio accompanies the dance of the two protagonists. Besides, this painting captivates the observer for the succession and overlapping of three-dimensional geometric figures. Oil and acrylic blend to make the scene more defined and contrasted. In this tapestry the artist mixes cubism and informal art.
