Description:

On the Litho saracen coast of Sicily, during a walk by the sea, the Artist collects a raw olive root soaked in salt water. The sea and nature had left this “slice of life” lying on the sand.
Cesare Catania works and sculpts this shapeless wood to create a work that has the same impact of a red flame. The root always lives under the ground but without it there would be no life for the plant. She is the heart of the earth.
