The artwork
Since childhood, the Artist lives in close contact with women expert in the art of crochet. Both his Grandmothers used to spend time crocheting, using an antique wooden or steel tool fitted with a hook at the end for guiding the thread during the making of blankets and embroideries. In this work of art, realized on raw jute, the Grandmother is sitting comfortably on a green leather armchair working the crochet with a white cotton thread. She is making a cotton blanket for her grandson.
